Job Description
The Bioseparation and Bioprocess Development Laboratory at IIT Delhi, led by Prof. Anurag S. Rathore, is inviting applications for a Research Associate position in biopharmaceutical technology. The role is intended for candidates with strong technical expertise in bioprocess engineering, mammalian cell culture, and bioprocess development. The selected candidate will contribute to research projects involving cell culture technology, process optimization, and biopharmaceutical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mammalian cell culture work using CHO and HEK cell lines.
- Support clone selection, cell line maintenance, and cell culture scale-up.
- Conduct and support bioreactor operations, including fed-batch and perfusion processes.
- Contribute to bioprocess development and optimization.
- Conduct media screening and monitor process parameters.
- Monitor key quality attributes relevant to biopharmaceutical production.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant research experience in the applicable technical areas.
Experience
Relevant postdoctoral or other research experience consistent with the Ph.D. qualification.
Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and bioprocess engineering.
Practical exposure to cell line development, scale-up, and bioreactor operations.
Skills Required
- Mammalian cell culture, particularly CHO and HEK cell lines.
- Clone selection and cell line maintenance.
- Cell culture scale-up and bioreactor operations.
- Fed-batch and perfusion cultivation.
- Bioprocess optimization and media screening.
