Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is an institute of national importance. Its Department of Biotechnology, established in 2010, runs research programmes in applied and basic biotechnology spanning experimental and computational areas, funded by national agencies such as DBT, DST, ICMR and CSIR.
